Choice Cable TV Selects IBBS' Network Management Services

Integrated Broadband Services (IBBS (News - Alert)), a provider of OSS software and services to more than 200 cable operators worldwide, has announced that it will provide fully integrated diagnostics and network management services to Choice Cable TV of Puerto Rico.
Currently, IBBS is working with 15 cable operators throughout the Caribbean and Latin America area (CALA). Company is expected to furnish Choice with a full-service solution for its high-speed internet product.
The solution will help in addressing and resolving customer issues, reduce truck rolls, call handle time and mean-time-to-repair, and also drive higher levels of organizational performance.
Choice Cable TV is the provider of cable TV and high-speed Internet in 31 municipalities in the southern and western regions of Puerto Rico, covering from Quebradillas to Maunabo.
Choice plans to utilize IBBS’ Broadband Explorer (News - Alert) (BBX) hosted Diagnostics software to ensure that its customers benefit from the highest levels of network performance and support.
Rob Roeder, vice president for network services at Choice Cable TV, said that company selected IBBS because of their unique expertise and understanding of the tier-2 cable marketplace, which is critical to the continued growth and success of Choice’s products.
“With Choice Cable TV’s growing broadband subscriber base, it was essential that we selected a partner with a proven offering of integrated software and services,” said Roeder.
Roeder said that Choice’s management group has a long-standing relationship and first-hand experience working with IBBS at the former Patriot (News - Alert) Media cable system in New Jersey.
IBBS is a provider of mission-critical OSS software and services for cable operators and broadband Internet Service Providers worldwide, accounting for more than 750,000 high-speed data subscribers.
