New Affiliate Widget Program From LocateTV Introduced

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

LocateTV, a web-based programming solution that gives users comprehensive information about the latest shows on their favorite television channels, online websites and DVDs, recently announced the launch of its first online affiliate network.

The brand new affiliate widget program from LocateTV has been titled “Next On” and will cater exclusively for television viewers. Users can quite simply cut and paste the widget from the LocateTV web site. Once attached to the website they can be assured of a superior standard of service and a heightened level of user experience while they catch their favorite TV show, movie and celebrity content, personal and fan websites.

LocateTV’s latest widget is equipped with a very useful and intuitive dynamic changing code. This changing code will mechanically update to display when the TV show or person is appearing next on the listed television channels or any other visual medium.

LocateTV’s Brian Margolis said that there are various functionalities embedded within the new affiliate widget from the company. He especially drew attention to the ease of use of the widget, likening it to be as simple as adding a video from a community network like YouTube (News - Alert).

“Our widget gives fans the information they need to never miss their favorite TV show, movie or star,” Margolis said. “We feel we have a unique product that every site with an interest in TV programming and celebrities will want to have. And the widget is as easy to use as embedding a YouTube video.”

The NDS (News - Alert) Group Ltd. operated LocateTV is a web-based programming guide that is in the business of providing TV, online and DVD viewing information. One of the major draws of LocateTV is its highly personalized user interface, its ability to create a personal viewing schedule and the ease with which users can set up email reminder alerts.

The user interface is capable of delivering accurate listings and sorting these by cable or satellite provider. The services are at present available to users in the United States, the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. The site also offers a dynamically updating widget that can be attached to blogs, fan sites and websites.
