Zinwave and Crossover Sign Distribution Agreement
By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor
Although wireless technology has grown leaps and bounds in the last few years, in-building wireless technology still faces some stumbling blocks. One of the major complaints about in-building wireless technology is the quality of reception. Recently, Zinwave and Crossover entered into a distribution agreement to extend Crossover’s market reach in Canada with its unique in-building wireless solution.
Crossover Distribution Corp is a Canadian Distributor of wireless broadband, in-building cellular, telecom (VoIP and Data Networking) and CATV technologies serving the North American marketplace. The customers of the company include telephone companies, internet service providers, cable TV operators and a national network of integrators.
Helping companies to remove many of the traditional issues and considerations associated with delivering multiple RF services in buildings, Zinwave (News - Alert) offers the industry's only true Wideband Distributed Antenna System (DAS) solution. Facilitating the addition of new services on demand without the need for costly and disruptive upgrades, it offers simultaneous support for any number or combination of cellular and other wireless services in one unified solution.
“We are excited to be partnering with Crossover in Canada. Their long-standing relationships and experience with the in-building market made them an easy choice as our distribution partner for Canada and will be able to support the rapid growing demand for our unique next-generation in-building solution,' said Jeffery L. Fuller, president of Zinwave Americas, in a release. 'Crossover's successful and innovative business model reaches over 400 focused resellers.”
Crossover believes that Zinwave's Active Wideband in-building solution is an ideal complement to its existing wireless infrastructure offering. Customers will get an easy, future-proof and cost-effective option with Zinwave's true Wideband DAS solution.
In March 2008, the company announced it was successful in raising $10 million in “B Round” funding to support its aggressive growth strategy and global market expansion plans. The investment came hot on the heels of the launch of the Zinwave 3000, a unique wideband active distributed antenna system (DAS), at Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) in Barcelona in February 2008.
