Tribold and Sigma Systems to Solutions to Cable & Telecom Markets

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

Sigma Systems, a major player in Advanced IP Service Fulfillment solutions, and Tribold (News - Alert), a provider of Enterprise Product Management, or “EPM,” software, have entered into an integrated solutions partnership to provide telecom and cable operators with an end-to-end concept-to-product-to-cash solution.

According to company officials at Sigma, the joint solution from Tribold and the company gives next-generation operators a means for rapid product and service development and delivery by removing the back-office bottlenecks that impede the product creation-to-cash process.

The company officials said that Tribold, through its Tribold EPM application suite, provides the product, service, resource and offer management in support of up-front order capture and management and back-end CRM and billing.

Sigma Systems (News - Alert), through its Service Management Platform, validates orders, conducts order management, provisions and activates services, and manages service inventory.

The company officials said that together, Tribold and Sigma Systems enable operators to manage from a single catalog the technical rules for product and service bundling, and allows seamless visibility across BSS, OSS and service delivery networks.

“By unifying the product concept through service fulfillment lifecycle, next-generation operators will have an end-to-end OSS solution set that allows them to rapidly launch new services and bundles with a shorter timeframe to ROI,” said Brian Cappellani, chief technology officer and vice president of engineering for Sigma Systems, in a statement.

Catherine Michel, chief technical officer of Tribold said that by addressing the root causes of order fallout and revenue leakage, Tribold and Sigma Systems put product and service delivery at the forefront of BSS and OSS operations, removing key issues in up-front product/service development and testing, and then streamlining service fulfillment.

Recently, Flow was selected Sigma Systems for broadband and VoIP Service fulfillment. Flow is the brand under which Columbus Communications (Grenada) Ltd. provides its services in Grenada. Flow is the leading cable television provider in Grenada.

According to Sigma officials, the Flow back-office solutions for broadband and VoIP services in Grenada will be upgraded with the company’s Service Activation Manager and Device Provisioning Manager.

The company officials said that Flow will use Sigma Systems' Service Activation Manager for network provisioning and activation of its high-speed broadband and VoIP services.

What’s more, Sigma Systems' Service Management Portfolio of fulfillment solutions enables the provisioning, delivery and management of integrated offerings, including TV, VoIP, broadband and mobile services; plus triple-play and quad-play.

Flow will also use Sigma's Device Provisioning Manager to auto-configure and provision residential end-user devices, including SIP devices.
