Time Warner Cable Reaches 9 Million Residential High-Speed Data Customers

Time Warner (News - Alert) Cable announced that it now reaches over 9 million residential high-speed data subscribers. Today, more than 62 percent of Time Warner Cable’s customers subscribe to its residential high-speed data service. At the end of 2009, Time Warner Cable was the third largest ISP in the United States in terms of the total number of residential and commercial broadband subscribers.

Time Warner Cable serves more than 14 million customers who subscribe to one or more of its video, high-speed data and voice services. The Company currently offers different high speed data services to both residential and commercial customers, including its most popular service, the Road Runner High Speed Online. 

Landel Hobbs, who is the COO of Time Warner Cable said that “This is a great milestone for Time Warner Cable, and it further proves that our customers enjoy the speed and content our HSD products deliver, as well as the value seen when bundling this service with our video and phone offerings. High Speed Data continues to be a growing part of our business and we look to keep adding new features and further enhance speeds as we move through 2010.”

Time Warner Cable is the second-largest cable operator in the U.S., with technologically advanced, well-clustered systems that are located in five geographic areas —the Carolinas, Ohio, New York State, including New York City, southern California, including Los Angeles, and Texas. 

The Time Warner Cable Business Class offers a suite of phone, Internet, Ethernet and cable television services to businesses of all sizes. Time Warner Cable Media Sales, the advertising arm of Time Warner Cable, offers national, regional and local companies innovative advertising solutions that are targeted and affordable. 

Time Warner Cable is also currently promoting its customer sweepstakes for the month of February giving its customers a chance to win an array of prizes including a Sharp (News - Alert) 46' LCD TV and a year of flowers from 1-800-Flowers.com. 

In addition to the Grand Prize Sharp 46' LCD TV, customers who are eligible also stand a chance of winning other great prizes including a 16GB iPod Nano and a $50 iTunes card.
