ECS to Assist Mercury Cable in HVCRC Conductor App Installations

By Deepika Mala, TMCnet Contributor

Mercury Cable & Energy, a privately-held developer of High Voltage Composite Reinforced Conductors for electrical transmission lines, has entered into a partnership relation with EC Source Services according to which ECS will offer installation services for Mercury Cable’s HVCRC conductor applications.

Also, under the agreement, ECS has agreed to provide Mercury Cable with training and installation oversight for HVCRC projects.

“ECS is an ideal fit for the introduction into the U.S. and Canadian markets of Mercury’s HVCRC products stranded by General Cable,” said Todd Harris, president of Mercury.

Only after an extensive analysis of the High Voltage installation marketplace that Mercury Cable approached ECS. The outstanding reputation of ECS with U.S. utilities and their previous experience with High Voltage conductors makes them an ideal partner for Mercury Cable.

EC Source management team has an impressive record of successfully executing energy infrastructure projects ahead of schedule and under budget with great focus on safety and quality.

With a mission critical fleet of highly specialized equipment, a strong capital base, and strategic locations in Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and Wyoming, ECS is uniquely positioned to consistently deliver superior results to the energy infrastructure industry.

In related news, Mercury Cable & Energy developer of High Voltage Composite Reinforced Conductors for electrical transmission lines has announced that it has engaged Jordana Electric, Inc. to represent its HVCRC Smart Conductor product line in Mexico.
