Under a recent agreement between DIRECTV and Comcast VERSUS will be returned to the DIRECTV programming lineup.

VERSUS is a fast growing sports cable network and it will now be returned to the same DIRECTV programming packages it was in at the end of August 2009.

Derek Chang, executive vice president, Content Strategy and Development, DIRECTV said that both agreeing parties are delighted to sign this particular deal that will now return programming back to their customers.
Jamie Davis, president of VERSUS added that both companies are pleased to reach an agreement that has placed this sports cable network back in millions of homes with DIRECTV in time for their busy spring programming schedule.

'We look forward to super-serving these fans with NHL regular-season and playoff coverage, our first live UFC event and much more.'

Video service provider DIRECTV Cinema was in news recently when it announced its intent to premiere the motion picture, “Pirate Radio’ to DIRECTV customers more than a month before the film’s DVD release date.

As reported by TMCnet, the DVD release is scheduled for April 13 but the movie will debut on DIRECTV Cinema on March 11.
