American Roamer Works with MediaBiz to Provide the Only Mapping Tool Available in the Market

By Deepika Mala, TMCnet Contributor

At the International CTIA Wireless (News - Alert) Show, American Roamer, the definitive source for global wireless mapping and information solutions will demonstrate the new broadband mapping tool, which has been developed through a partnership with MediaBiz, an independent research, reporting and consulting firm. The browser-based application illustrates where and how broadband coverage is available throughout the United States.

The new broadband mapping tool of American Roamer (News - Alert) includes data on wireless, satellite, cable broadband providers and Wi-Fi hot spots and features adjustable transparent layer views of providers’ coverage patterns that can be easily rearranged.

Currently available on a customized basis per customer, the application quickly condenses and qualifies coverage details for specific operators. It also allows companies to easily visualize and analyze information in a variety of flexible formats. Detailed street level data for broadband availability in specific locations is also provided by the tool.

“On the heels of the Federal Communication Commission’s national broadband plan, everyone is trying to answer the question ‘what coverage is available and where?’” Ray Westbrook, Senior Vice President, American Roamer, said. “We are proud to work with MediaBiz to provide the only mapping tool available in the market today that makes such in-depth and extensive information easily available for view on a national level. This application will be an invaluable product for companies to use as an analytical tool in a variety of different ways, including competitive analysis, network planning and customer support.”

Each CTIA Wireless Show attendee who will visit the American Roamer booth (Booth #1012) will be provided with hard copies of American Roamer’s North American Competitive Landscape map that will display where wireless broadband is available across the United States. Individual operator’s spectrum holdings, EBS and BRS licenses, and the percentage of the U.S. population, county by county, covered by mobile 3G is also included in the map.

Over twenty years of experience in the wireless industry, with products and solutions, American Roamer has helped market-leading customers worldwide. The American Roamer’s products are used by major Internet retailers, top telecommunications operators, telematics and Machine to Machine service providers, and others, to increase productivity and develop competitive marketing strategies while effectively reducing operating costs.

The customers through American Roamer’s solutions and its CellMaps applications are able to improve operational efficiencies by reducing customer service call times and volumes and decreasing costly onsite visits to remote monitoring locations.

In related news, American Roamer has announced that it now has available the first cloud-based interactive international coverage viewer. The application, available through American Roamer's CellMaps® product line, will provide complete detailed street level data for nearly eighty countries worldwide with the ability to show wireless coverage footprints across the entire globe.
