CommScope to Showcase Extensive Connectivity Solutions at International CTIA WIRELESS 2010

By Trupti Kamath, TMCnet Contributor

CommScope, a global provider of infrastructure solutions for communications networks, is showcasing its complete portfolio at International CTIA (News - Alert) WIRELESS 2010, booth 2433, March 23 to March 25 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Andrew Solutions, a CommScope, Inc. division, will still take center stage in CommScope’s booth, exhibiting its market leading solutions for the wireless marketplace. But we have added product information and personnel from CommScope’s Enterprise Solutions and Broadband Solutions, reflecting our customers’ increased need for solutions that blur old divisions based on network type,” Ted Hally, executive vice president and CEO of CommScope said.

“It is not easy to pinpoint where an evolution begins, how it will look, and what are the best mechanisms for deploying the services customers want. That is why service providers, enterprises and OEMs look to work with CommScope engineers to devise innovative infrastructure solutions that meet their goals,” Hally said.

CommScope has already demonstrated its increased capability in supporting wireless and enterprise connectivity in two of the highest profile sports stadium projects of 2009—the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the largest enclosed arena in the world, and the stadiums that are hosting the 2010 FIFA World Cup matches in South Africa.

The company is also helping operators evolve their wireless networks with its SmartBeam base station antenna system, an agile network solution that makes adding capacity and optimizing coverage cost-effective and responsive to customer demand.

Some of CommScope’s broad portfolio of products, systems, and solutions will be showcased via innovative touchscreen technology at the company’s CTIA exhibit.

For the wireless market, Andrew Solutions will display its HELIAX®2.0 FXL smoothwall aluminum cable, SmartBeam next generation agile network antenna, GeoLENs wireless and wireline location capabilities, InSite Connect remote cell site control and monitoring, integrated amplifier and remote radio head, and integrated cabinet cell site solutions.

Andrew will also highlight its unique coverage and capacity solutions such as the ION fiber distributed antenna system and Node A universal multi-band, multi-service, software-based repeater platform, which help bring reliable coverage to any building or area with blocked or compromised RF signal propagation.

For the enterprise market, Enterprise Solutions will also highlight its SYSTIMAX 360 next generation structured cabling solution among its innovative line of fiber, copper, in-building wireless and intelligent infrastructure solutions for data centers, campuses and building environments.

And, for the broadband market, Broadband Solutions will showcase its BrightPath fiber-to-the-home, Signal Vision subscriber drop, and other outside plant solutions, which support state-of-the-art voice, video and data applications.
