Platinum Status for Mid-America Wireless as it reaches Broadband Milestone

Global provider of broadband satellite networks and services, Hughes Network Systems (News - Alert), LLC, announced that a member of the HughesNet dealer network, Mid-America Wireless with 14 locations throughout Missouri, has reached Platinum status with more than 60 new successful HughesNet subscriber installations within a 90-day period. HughesNet is one of the high speed satellite Internet services in the U.S., which Mid-America Wireless sells and installs, brings broadband access to consumers in areas where landline solutions like cable and DSL are not available.
Access to broadband is still a struggle for many consumers in Missouri with broadband access unavailable to more than 20 percent of Missouri according to Jay Nixon, of the governor's office. However, with the satellite-based broadband connection, HughesNet, this is available to anyone in the United States with a clear view of the southern sky.
Angie Reinsch, consumer, said that Mid-America Wireless owner, Gary Wilbers was instrumental in installing HughesNet for her. She added that there is a measurable difference between dial-up and HughesNet in terms of speed and service costs. The family had more time together because of the faster, more reliable HughesNet connection, which made it an ideal investment.
According to Wilbers, in spite of lots of talk about solutions that may or may not become available to serve those without cable or DSL, many are realizing there is already a reliable, fast, always-on connection with HughesNet. He added that customers such as Reinsch are able to stay in touch with family members because of the service. He added that he is very proud to achieve this distinction from Hughes and looks forward to continue providing top-notch service to his current customers and new ones.
AVP, Channel Sales at Hughes, Allen McCabe, said dealers like Mid-America Wireless help educate people around the country that instead of a dial-up they can get a high-speed connection to stay in touch with friends and family. The company is pleased to have Mid-America Wireless with their consistent high-quality service for HughesNet subscribers as part of the valued dealer network.
