Two Cable Operators Renew Contracts with Convergys for its Smart BSS Solutions

Continued strong investment in cable solutions and Smart BSS Solutions portfolio has helped generate two contract renewals was announced by Convergys (News - Alert) Corporation, solution provider in relationship management. As per the announcement, the first client is a leading provider of digital cable TV, phone, and high-speed Internet services to residential and small business customers. The client has signed for the continued license, maintenance, and support of its Convergys Smart BSS solution. The client also provides a consolidated view of the customer and a streamlined, intuitive workflow for next generation subscriber, order, and customer management with the license to use Convergys Customer Service Manager Smart App which is a web-based front-end.

The second client is a top 25 communications provider offering digital cable, On Demand, High Definition also known as HDTV, Digital Video Recording or DVR, and High Speed Internet access. This client has also renewed its longstanding license for its Convergys Smart BSS Solution. This client will upgrade its web-self care platform for electronic bill presentment and payment and further grow its popular digital phone service in addition to providing accurate and timely billing and support to its customers.

According to Bob Lento, President, Information Management at Convergys, these contracts helps validate Convergys' continued strong commitment and investment in cable solutions and the company's Smart BSS platform. With the company's Smart BSS Solutions, full-service communications providers are able to successfully manage the relationships they have with their customers. He added that the clients will utilize the most advanced, communications industry-specific BSS platform available to help drive greater customer service, higher revenues, and lower total cost of ownership with these contract extensions.
