FiOS TV customers are offered another opportunity by Verizon (News - Alert) to see the latest in 3D programming.

WealthTV, a premier luxury lifestyle and entertainment network is offering a new video-on-demand service. WealthTV is making an episode of its series on classic cars, “Wealth on Wheels Classic.” This will be available in 3D only for Verizon’s FiOS (News - Alert) TV subscribers.

 

In a release, Tricia Lynch, director of content strategy and acquisition, Verizon said, “As we progress with 3D on FiOS TV, programming like this from WealthTV gives our customers a chance to see what 3D on FiOS is really all about. Seeing the classic cars come to life in 3D will make viewers feel like they’re in the driver’s seat, especially with the incredible picture quality only FiOS can deliver. We look forward to providing more 3D programming like this.”

 

All FiOS TV customers across the country who have a 3D television set, 3D glasses and a high-definition set-top box can watch WealthTV’s 3D VOD program. The 3D “Wealth on Wheels” episode can be found in the “High Definition” VOD folder, under HD 3D by the FiOS TV customers. The Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Irvine, Calif., is featured in this episode. The episode also highlights more than a dozen priceless classic automobiles and the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. In order to further enhance the viewing experience, the latest stereoscopic technology has been used by WealthTV to produce this episode.

WealthTV has a number of 3D production crews in the field, producing exciting travel, adventure, culinary and documentary programs that will be available to FiOS customers in the near future.”

 

WealthTV is available in standard definition on Channel 169 on FiOS TV, while the high definition version is available on Channel 669. The 3D and HD version of WealthTV are available on VOD. 18,000 monthly titles are included in the VOD services of FiOS TV.
