Composite AV Video Cable with Firmware Version Released

By Jyothi Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

Users can now connect an iPod, iPhone (News - Alert), or iPad to their television with a new Composite AV video cable to watch videos or slideshows together on the big screen.

The newly released Composite AV video cable is compatible with APPLE iPhone, iPod Touch, Nano 4th Generation, iPod Video, iPod Photo with Firmware Version UP TO V2.2. But this version is not compatible with V3.0 or newer firmware.

The composite AV cable connects the user’s device or universal dock via the 30-pin dock connector and to TV, home theatre receiver, or stereo receiver via the composite video and red/white analog audio ports. The cable also features a USB connector that you can plug into a power source, such as a computer or the included USB Power Adapter.

iPhone and iPod users have been enjoying a variety of accessories, such as cradles and chargers, which enable users to keep their iPhones fully charged all the time.

Users have been able to purchase such accessories online for awhile now. But it is important to remember that, along with the normal accessories – hard or soft carrying cases, headsets, car mounts, and holsters, users can also buy USB cables which will enable them to hook up their iPhone to the internet – which will allow them to watch videos or slideshows on their bigscreens.
