Tekmos Unveils New Line of Balun Adaptors

Hitchin, Hertfordshire based specialist in design and manufacture Impedance Matching products Tekmos Communications Ltd. has announced the launch of a range of balun adaptors to support Dual E1 channels in a compact lightweight format.

Designed to match the increased capacity being rolled out across the telecommunications and data sectors, the Quad Port Balun Adaptor range supports the latest range of network interface cards with multiple E1 channels on a single RJ45 connector. This configuration not only supports increased circuit densities but also trims costs associated with wiring and installation.

“The new Quad Coax Balun Adaptor range reinforces our commitment to lead the industry with the development of innovative products to meet the needs of customers,” stated Ernie Hood, M.D., Tekmos Communications.

The Quad Port Balun Adaptors provide signal conversion and impedance matching between 4 coax connections (75 ohm) and one RJ45 twisted pair (120 ohm) connection for a total capacity of two E1 class links. The adaptors are compliant with ITU-T G703 , the adaptors support data rates up to 8.192 Mbps.The Quad Port Balun Adaptor range can be ordered right away and come with BNC or 1.6/5.6 coax connectors.Tekmos has a proven track record in designing and manufacturing baluns to connect balanced twisted pair interfaces to unbalanced coax interfaces. These Baluns come in a range of formats including panels, cable assemblies, adaptors and connectors. The company offers various applications from wireless backhaul to voice recording and security and surveillance to maritime.
