"We are very happy to have someone with such a successful track record as Don Toft join the ARRIS Team," said ARRIS’ senior vice president, Sales Dan Whalen, in a press release. "The Comcast account is extremely strategic to us and we were looking for a sales professional with strong relationships, technical acumen, and a proven track record of execution to help grow our business."

ARRIS specializes in the design, engineering and supply of technology supporting triple- and quad-play broadband services for residential and business customers around the world. It also has carved a niche in supplying broadband operators with the tools and platforms they need to deliver reliable telephony, demand driven video, next-generation advertising and high-speed data services.

In related news, ARRIS for the second year in a row has been named one of the Top 10 International Brands operating in China's broadcasting and telecommunications marketplaces.
