Cox is the third largest cable operator in the United States and will be leveraging Interop’s (News - Alert) Hosted CDMA OTA Solution for Wireless Provisioning solution to automate wireless device activation at the point-of-sale. The SS7-based solution provides fast and accurate activations for Mobile Handsets.

The Interop Technologies CDMA Over-the-Air (OTA) provisioning solution provisions Number Assignment Modules (NAMs) and mass PRL updates and gets them right the first time. The solution offering is IS-683 compliant, SS7 based and provides a highly efficient, low-cost way for network operators to provision the NAM, improving customer experience and reducing operating costs.

It helps to manage update expenses across the customer base and lock in lower costs when roaming relationships change. The mass PRL updates can be sent to customer handsets or devices can be reprogrammed individually using push and/or short code technology.

The solution is available in hosted, modified hosted, turnkey, and turnkey with managed services deployments. The CDMA OTA Provisioning solution can be combined with Interop’s SCOPE Device Management solution and the optional Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) for a complete set of handset configuration, service provisioning, and updating capabilities. Both solutions can be accessed through a single user interface.
