Adobe Pass for TV Everywhere Supported by Limelight

Adobe Pass for TV Everywhere will be now supported by Limelight Video Platform. An announcement in this regard has been made by Limelight Networks Inc. Adobe Pass for TV Everywhere is a secure and user-friendly authentication tool. Cable subscribers are able to easily access premium conten,t previously only available via paid TV with this tool.

Adobe’s technology has been now integrated with Limelight Video Platform. Premium content can be therefore securely offered by content producers, across multiple Internet-based platforms. These include mobile devices, tablets, connected televisions and desktop computers.

In a release, Alexander Castro, vp and gm, Limelight Video Platform Solutions said, "With our latest certification as an Adobe Pass Enablement Partner, Limelight is uniquely positioned to offer cable TV and premium channel providers seamless, end-to-end capabilities for working with Adobe tools across the entire content value chain, from delivery services to video player to monetization solutions."

According to Castro, the company believes that this relationship with Adobe will change the manner in which video content can be consumed and monetized across a variety of devices.

Adobe Pass will be offered by Limelight as a fully integrated solution. Pay TV distributors can now stream video through the player with no additional integrations. After signing-in, subscribers’ right to the content is verified by Adobe Pass. A hassle-free, secure experience is ensured for users and cable providers.

According to Pritham Shetty, vp of Video Solutions at Adobe, the way content is delivered online is being redefined by the company. This will usher in a new era of TV Everywhere for consumers. Content owners and cable operators will be also ensured of compelling revenue streams.

In a release, Shetty said, "The powerful combination of Adobe Pass and the cloud-based Limelight Video Platform will enable access to premium content on virtually any web-enabled device, including Mac and Windows platforms, Android (News - Alert), Blackberry and iOs. As demand for TV Everywhere grows, we believe the Adobe Pass ecosystem is a vital piece to fostering sustained loyalty and growth to pay TV services on emerging channels."
