Kerala Communicators Cable Limited Chooses Conax Contego for Digitization, Integration of Cable TV Operations

Kerala Communicators Cable Limited (KCCL), India, has entered a strategic partnership with Conax for digitization of its 200 cable TV operations. Conax will allow Kerala cable TV operators to smoothly migrate to a digital environment and provide flexible integration with new services. Conax is prominent supply of solutions for protecting multi-device digital content.

The KCCL operators currently represent 70 percent of cable TV services in the southwest Indian state. With the forthcoming digitization measure, Conax will deliver a flexible and cost-effective solution to the organization to enable seamless digital integration, and provide several advanced service offerings.

"With extensive experience in digitization and the Indian pay-tv market, we are confident the partnership with security partner Conax will provide KCCL operators with a strong road map for the future,” said Mr. Nassir Hassan Anwar, Director, KCCL. “Conax was chosen based on strong customer relations, highly flexible, proven solutions and the company's commitment to the Indian market."

The KCCL is located on the Malabar Coast of Kerala, a top tourist destination in India, named one of the "ten paradises of the world" by the National Geographic Traveler magazine. The KCCL is an initiative started by statewide cable TV operators who are part of the Cable Operators Association (COA).

Through this agreement, Conax will assist TV operators in migrating to the new digital environment, integrate new product offerings and provide secure distribution of multi-device and premium content.

The Conax Contego, along with 24/7 support provided by Conax’ global support organization located in Delhi, is also included in the contract. The solution will equip KCCL operators with a highly stable system, technical expertise and responsibility needed for integrating together with Conax-approved partners.

This partnership will let cable operators in Kerala minimize churn, concur digitization challenges and harness new opportunities that the new digital environment will provide.
