By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

XFINITY from Comcast (News - Alert) reinvents entertainment allowing users to enjoy the content their way. They can access and enjoy everything they love anytime, anywhere, and any way they want with TV, Internet and Voice services that work together. They can also get more than just new releases with XFINITY On Demand and enjoy thousands of free hit movies and the latest TV shows.

Recently, Comcast announced that the company has been developing an advanced user interface (UI) across TVs, laptops, tablets and smartphones. The interface integrates relevant information with customers’ Xfinity TV, Voice, Internet and home services.

Named, ‘Project Dayview’, the new solution is visually striking and provides a personal dashboard. The dashboard receives information from other combined applications to regularly refresh content that’s most relevant. It gets up-to-date alerts, appointments, texts, e-mails, voicemails and DVR data. With Project Dayview, customers get a real-time snapshot of the day’s activities and items needing attention, the company stated in a press release.

“Project Dayview is another example of how we’re leveraging our platform and converged phone, Internet and video services to deliver rich, personal experiences for our customers across all screens,” said Charlie Herrin, senior vice president of Product Design & Development for Comcast. “Our new IP-based interface will also turn the TV into more than just a video screen by providing customers with a convenient way to manage the multiple sources of information that are important to them - all from one place.”
