Polartec Selects Comcast Business Class Ethernet

Comcast (News - Alert) provides scalable, secure Ethernet data services and 24/7 dedicated national and local support. This allows the users to connect with their customers, suppliers, and remote sites easily, efficiently and affordably. Comcast has fiber optic solution designed to help keep the business applications running smoothly and everyone in the company connected with one robust and secure network, regardless of how complex their Ethernet network requirements are.

Recently, the company announced that Polartec, a manufacturer of high-tech fabrics worn around the world by outdoor enthusiasts, emergency personnel, the military and consumers, has selected Comcast Ethernet services.

To assist in enhancing communications between employees, manufacturing facilities and local sales teams, In excess of 1,000 Polartec employees in six offices around the globe are now connected through the company’s existing virtual private network (VPN) over a high-performance Comcast Ethernet connection. It also saves the company more than $1,000 a month.

According to the agreement, Comcast has deployed an Ethernet Dedicated Internet (EDI) connection that is presently being used by all company employees, partners and sales teams. To cater to the additional growth requirements, it also offers Polartec with the capability to easily add bandwidth as needed.

“There are plenty of things that companies need to worry about on a daily basis – but the speed of their Internet service should not be one of them,” said Peter Marsh, Greater Boston region vice president for Comcast Business Services. “As today’s workforce becomes increasingly mobile, more and more companies are expanding their global operations and are realizing that working with a provider that offers scalable and reliable connectivity is one of the best business decisions they can make.”

Recently, the company announced that Comcast Business VoiceEdge was introduced in California.
