ClickSoftware's Mobility Solutions Selected by cablex AG

ClickSoftware (News - Alert) Technologies Ltd., a provider of automated mobile workforce management and optimization solutions for the service industry, recently announced that its mobility solutions have been selected by cablex AG, a subsidiary of Swisscom (News - Alert). The solutions will be implemented by Swisscom IT Services AG, part of cablex's parent company Swisscom.

According to the officials from ClickSoftware, cablex AG will use the solutions to further improve the customer experience, while optimizing scheduling for field engineers. ClickSoftware offers a highly flexible and scalable enterprise mobile workforce solution which can be configured with mobile business apps from the ClickAppStore. It is designed to support users working in any kind of environment, offline and online, with rich features and full accessibility to back-office systems. ClickMobile is widely used by large enterprises with thousands of resources, using the system in mission critical environments.

"We know there are efficiency gains to be made in the way we serve customers in the field," said Daniel Pelizzoni, Head of Service Operation at cablex. "It has been difficult to find a software solution that we were confident could help address our business challenges, whilst improving customer satisfaction through increased productivity. We believe we will achieve that with ClickSoftware."

In related news, Swisscom AG (News - Alert) will be installing the high-speed communications network in Martigny and Charrat. In Martigny, Swisscom is laying fiber-optic cabling to individual homes and businesses (FTTH). At the same time, it will be testing new Fiber to the Street (FTTS) technology in Charrat. Residents of both communities will benefit from bandwidths of up to 100 Mbps which will allow them to watch HDTV, use multimedia services and enjoy high-speed internet access.
