Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in West Palm Beach, Florida, recently selected Comcast (News - Alert) Business Hospitality for data, phone and TV services for its 112-suite property.

The Comcast Business Hospitality suite includes Ethernet, Internet, video and voice services packaged in one integrated offering customized for the hospitality industry.

Through Comcast’s newest services, guests will be able to receive faster Internet access for business or personal use while staying at the hotel. The increased Internet speeds to 100 Megabits/second using Comcast Ethernet will allow hotel staff to perform their day-to-day operations more efficiently, like processing credit cards more quickly and handling check-in and check-out faster as well.

“Our guests expect to check into our property and conduct business day or night,” said William Murray, general manager of the Hawthorn Suites, West Palm Beach, in a statement. “Because we are an extended-stay hotel, our suites are often used as a remote office for traveling executives. The increased speed from the Comcast service allows our guests to work in their rooms with connection speeds that are the same as what they would have back at their office.”

Before Comcast, the hotel had a 3-Mbps service for all of its guests and 3-Mbps for back office operations, both from another provider. However, owing to slow Internet connectivity, they opted for a new provider in order to upgrade their technology and remain a top-ranking hotel.

It was only after careful review that Hawthorn Suites selected Comcast Business.
