By Jayashree Adkoli, TMCnet Contributor

Solix, Inc., a provider of data management solutions, has successfully completed the service organization controls (SOC 1, Type II) audit for its commercial lifeline and broadband enterprise solutions.

For those unaware, the SOC 1 audit is prepared in accordance with Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16. It is specifically intended to meet the requirements of customers and their auditors as they evaluate the effect of the controls at the service organization relevant to customers’ financial reporting.

With SOC, Type II audit, customers of Solix will be ensured that the company offers exceptional service and reliability with its deliverables.

Jack Miller, president and chief operating officer, Solix, said in a press release, "Solix's success is built on our record of exceptional service and our dedication to improving efficiency and results, as well as accountability to our clients."

Miller added, "We want our customers to know that the services we provide are backed by our commitment to the highest standards. By voluntarily seeking independent verification of our internal controls, our customers know we take the trust they give us seriously."

As a provider of data management solutions, Solix has specialized in managing highly regulated programs. Along with these programs, it also provides customized solutions that deliver efficiency, compliance and program integrity.

Solix’s set of program integrity services include audit-ready reporting, program monitoring and consulting. These services help customers effectively meet intricate regulatory requirements.

Some of Solix’ current customers are from various industries, such as public sector, telecommunications, broadband, healthcare, utilities and insurance, who are required to know whether or not the service providers solutions are SOC 1, Type II audit certified.

According to Solix, the latest SOC 1, Type II audit completion is the second successful SOC 1 Solix has announced this year. This demonstrates its commitment to exemplary service, transparency and adherence to best practices in compliance that protects its operations and customers.

Sources cite that this audit was completed with an unqualified opinion, without modification by a nationally recognized auditing firm.

Earlier, Solix had announced the completion of a SOC 1 for the company's service area, which supports federal programs dedicated to funding Internet access and telecommunications for schools, libraries and rural health care providers.
