Limelight Networks (News - Alert), a major player in digital presence management, has expanded its coverage in India with a new point of presence in Mumbai.

Officials with Limelight Networks said that the company will also begin selling its Limelight Orchestrate Digital Presence Platform in the country.

Orchestrate V2.0 offers new and enhanced capabilities designed to help organizations better engage digital audiences. The release includes a broad range of innovations that assist Limelight customers in leveraging video, rich media, Web and social content to create consistent and compelling digital experiences across channels, devices and geographies.

Limelight's Orchestrate Platform is being used by Punjab Kesari Group, an online and offline newspaper group in India, to create a broader digital presence and monetize its digital assets by seamlessly delivering video across the world to various mobile devices.

"We used to serve five million page views per month and were held back by slow delivery speeds since all of our content was being served from India. After we implemented Limelight Orchestrate, our page views increased to 20 million page views per month," said Abhijay Chopra, director of Punjab Kesari Group, in a statement.

Chopra said that, since using Limelight's services, the company’s site traffic has grown by 30 percent month by month, and the number of video views has increased exponentially.

Andy Clark, Limelight's group vice president of APAC said that India is an increasingly growing market for the company.

Clark said that there is a high demand for services that improve the quality and presence of data across networks, as well as a real need to reduce the latency issues that have plagued businesses here for years.

“With the addition of our Orchestrate platform we will empower companies to better engage with their digital audiences and monetize their digital assets. Overall, we're excited about the growth potential and expanding our presence to these key markets in India," he said.

Earlier in June, Limelight Networks had announced that it is powering media delivery for DISH Media Sales' cutting-edge presentations.

DISH empowers its sales teams with graphics and video content. The Limelight Orchestrate platform guarantees these mission critical sales materials are quickly accessible anywhere, and are delivered with high-performance and high quality.
