WaveDivision to Offer TiVo's Complete Suite of Co-branded Products and Services to Wave Broadband and Astound Customers

TiVo (News - Alert) Inc., a major player in the advanced television entertainment market, recently signed a partnership agreement with WaveDivision Holdings LLC, a top 20 cable service provider.

Under the terms of this agreement, Wave Broadband will market and deploy co-branded versions of TiVo's complete suite of whole-home products and services as its primary offering for residential and business customers.

Officials said that featuring advanced set-top boxes and other components, this will deliver a consistent TV experience spanning TiVo's cloud-based service, its whole-home gateway DVR, TiVo Mini, TiVo Stream, the TiVo experience on Digital Transport Adapters, plus multi-screen experience through TiVo Web, iOS and Android (News - Alert) mobile applications.

TiVo’s solution is cost-effective, customizable and quickly deployed, which allow them to remain competitive in the market.

"We are excited to be working with TiVo to bring our customers access to more content choices and a superior, more personalized viewing experience on all screens in and out of the home," said Steve Weed, Wave CEO, in a press statement. "Through this partnership with TiVo, we will bring a new standard of viewing experience to our key markets, while providing an optimized combination of all the great Wave and Astound content available now, plus access to new broadband content."

TiVo's complete suite of whole-home products will be available as a primary offering for all of Wave's 415,000 residential and business customers including Wave Broadband subscribers in Washington, Oregon and California, and Astound customers in the San Francisco Bay area.

Founded in 1997, TiVo offers its service directly to consumers, and also distributes its technology and services via solutions tailored for cable, satellite and broadcasting companies.

Earlier this year, TMCnet reported that TiVo and Control4 Corporation have announced a partnership which will enable Control4 systems to control features and functionality of TiVo entertainment devices.
