Imagine Communications, an innovator in advanced digital video solutions, offers unlimited fun with quality digital IPTV (News - Alert) services.  The company will demonstrate the scalable and efficient multiscreen IP video delivery solutions at SCTE (Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers) Cable-Tec Expo 2011 in Atlanta, Nov. 15-17.

It joins picture quality and unlimited scalability with full support for integrated fragmentation, encryption and HTTP streaming. It allows operators to deploy multiscreen services on the same high availability platforms used to deliver industry-leading HD (high definition) and SD (standard definition) broadcast transcoding.

Imagine‘s new network-side transcoding video processing platform, allows multiscreen service providers to deliver uncompromised video quality across multiple devices, with unmatched compression efficiency.

“More and more households are watching TV online and on mobile devices like the popular tablets and smartphones,” said Imagine’s VP of Product Marketing Chris Gordon. “As the demand to watch TV on multiple devices continues to grow, consumers’ priorities are shifting from a ‘good enough’ video quality experience to a demand for an HD-quality viewing experience across all devices. This requires today’s multiscreen service providers to differentiate their service offerings with quality, but to also carefully manage bandwidth per service.”

Gordon continued, “Our ICE Video Platform is a unique hybrid software/hardware architecture that not only marries the power of hardware with the flexibility of software, but enables service providers to deploy a single unified carrier-class platform for all of their video processing, guaranteeing the highest picture quality for the living room as well as to the increasingly popular tablets and smartphones.”

In other company news, TMCnet reported that Imagine Communications has entered the TV Anywhere market with an ICE streaming system, a NEBS certified new video processing platform that enables service providers to deliver uncompromised video quality across multiple viewing devices.
