ARRIS' AdManager Helps Ad Campaigns Further their Reach

By Mini Swamy, TMCnet Contributor

ARRIS Group Inc., a global communications technology company that supplies broadband operators with the tools and platforms they need to cater to their customers, will now enable cable providers to offer a new generation of advertising services with its standards based platform, the ARRIS AdManager.

The AdManager claims to address the challenges and opportunities that are associated with dynamic advertising systems making it easier for MSOs to extend their advertising campaigns to reach qualified audiences across all consumer devices.

According to ARRIS company officials, AdManager not only increases revenue for service providers but also protects and enhances operators' profitable linear ad insertion business by working in conjunction with ARRIS' widely deployed SkyVision (News - Alert) product suite. This ensures consistent campaigning that extends over the full lifecycle of programming.

All this has been made possible because of the four modular components – 360, Core, Delivery and Enterprise – that increase the ad value, streamline operations and provide robustness and scalability to handle dynamic ad placements.

The company stated that while AdManager Core tackles ad content workflow and routing of ad placement decisions, AdManager 360 enables the platform to interoperate with third party components and helps to drive video on demand and dynamic linear placements. In addition, AdManager Delivery provides a uniform ADM interface and a comprehensive Playlist Manager while AdManager Enterprise is associated with the global monitoring and advertising operations control at regional and national levels.

When the AdManager platform is pre-integrated with ARRIS' ConvergeMedia products, it provides a comprehensive solution that caters adequately to the needs of service providers, content owners and program networks.

In other news, ARRIS Group, Inc., announced the availability of the VIPr 6000, the next generation in its VIPr transcoding platform that promises to deliver a three-fold improvement in channel processing capacity – delivering three times the number of HD/SD channels per encoder chassis, at the highest quality, state-of-the industry video compression levels.
