Momentum Announces Operator Share Program for Cable Operators and Municipalities

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Momentum, a provider of digital voice services and broadband management, announced that the company will be partnering with cable operators to reach businesses with a joint retail program.

Participants of Momentum’s Operator Share Program will get the advanced hosted VoIP services and cloud-based products, and the expertise needed to market, sell, provision, bill and support these business solutions.

Momentum claims that the Operator Share Program empowers companies using traditional voice services to make a switch to advanced cloud-based communications services. The program helps small businesses and enterprises update their communications solutions.

“Our recent expansion into the retail digital voice business market has enabled to us enhance partnership opportunities and provide our partners solutions that foster exponential growth,” said Alan Creighton, president and CEO of Momentum, in a statement.

“The Operator Share Program introduces a way for cable providers and municipalities to increase their business market penetration in broadband and video services, and for Momentum to reach a substantial quantity of business communication subscribers,” Creighton added.

Momentum is looking at partnering with valued wholesale operators and purchasing their broadband and video services at a discount.

Local VARs in operator markets will have complete access to Momentum's hosted voice services, feature offerings and mobility applications, as well as broadband and video services available through our operator partners.

Resellers, system integrators and managed services providers often have the presence, expertise and relationships established to support larger companies with everything from complex site surveys and installs to WAN/LAN management and ongoing ISP and voice support.

Recently, Richard Snow, vice president and research director for Ventana Research, and Joe Staples (News - Alert), chief marketing officer for Interactive Intelligence, said that they are seeing quite a shift toward cloud-based communications.
