Charter Lures Kids to Compete for a HDTV for Father's Day

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

Charter Communications has started a contest aimed at kids of all ages. The kids will be submitting an essay explaining why their dads are fit to win a giant high definition television (HDTV), along with Charter High Definition (HD) service and The Charter Bundle free for a year.

Charter Communications is a broadband communications company and a publicly traded cable operator in the United States. Charter provides a range of broadband services, including advanced Charter Digital Cable video entertainment programming, Charter High-Speed Internet access, and Charter Telephone.

"What better way to spend Father's Day than by watching your favorite shows, movies, and sports on a giant HDTV with your Dad," said Barbara Hedges, senior vice president of consumer marketing for Charter. "And with a free year of The Charter Bundle, he'll receive Digital Cable for access to On Demand, Charter High-Speed Internet for a fast and reliable Internet experience, and Charter Telephone for unlimited local and long distance calling.”

Charter’s HD service provides over 150 shows and the latest Hollywood hits On Demand with six times more the resolution of regular TV service. Their customers enjoy a crystal clear picture.

The winner of the essay competition will present his/her lucky dad with the grand prize of a giant HDTV, plus a year of The Charter Bundle with HD service for free. In addition, four finalists will win a free year of The Charter Bundle with HD service.

The Charter Business Bundle provides internet, video, and/or telephone services that are received in one monthly bill. Bundling these services from Charter Business is easy and affordable because all of the services are not only on one bill, but are also provided at a discounted rate.

In addition to extra savings, Charter customers enjoy the convenience of dealing with a single provider and the freedom to choose their choice of bundle that suits their needs.

Over the past year, Charter has invested over a billion dollars in capital to serve its customers and to enhance its service capabilities. Charter is committed to investing in its communities, providing an advanced network on which residential and commercial customers rely for their communications needs, and delivering value to all its customers by offering high-quality products and services backed up by superior customer care.
