ADC Data Center Solutions Showcased at Cisco Live

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

ADC, a global supplier of network infrastructure products and services for multi-service networks, will showcase its data center product suite at the upcoming Cisco (News - Alert) Live at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, June 16-22.

ADC’s TrueNet Cable Management Solutions for Active Platforms is one of the numerous solutions that will be displayed at the event. The TrueNet Cable solutions provide cable routing paths, cable accessibility and physical protection for cables. By organizing the cables and removing obstacles in signal movement, ADC’s solution helps improve network performance and reduce operational costs.

Another solution, ADC's TrueNet CopperTen system, is the first Augmented Category 6 structured cabling system that enables 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over 100 meters of unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable, according to ADC. CopperTen meets industry standards including Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.3an and Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) 568 B (News - Alert).2 Addendum 10.

The CopperTen system is available as both shielded and unshielded solutions. It is equipped with essential features including patch panels, termination blocks, and modular jacks to reduce signal loss and cross talk, thereby improving network efficiency in highly demanding bandwidth applications.

ADC will also showcase its various data center solutions that offer efficient airflow and reduced power consumption features. ADC’s cables and cable management solutions are created using less quantity of raw materials so as to bring increased energy and smooth airflow without sacrificing data center performance.

In effect, ADC's data center products and solutions help service providers to create an easy-to-handle data center, eliminate downtime, and reduce energy consumption. These are all made available without affecting the integrity of the data center and by offering an uninterrupted access to the service.

“As the data center evolves to accommodate higher bandwidth applications, such as Storage Area Networking (SAN) and server virtualization, there is an increased demand for cable, connectivity and cable management solutions that can deliver superior network performance while simplifying the data center's design,” said Jaxon Lang, vice president, Global Connectivity Solutions Americas for ADC.

By offering a variety of services in wireline, wireless, broadcast, cable, and enterprise networks, ADC’s network infrastructure equipment and services enable Internet, video, voice, and data communication services across many residential and business community.
