thePlatform to Publish Video Content for Time Warner Cable's Road Runner

America’s second-largest cable operator Time Warner (News - Alert) Cable has chosen broadband video management and publishing company thePlatform to serve as the central backend video management system for its Road Runner portal.
 
Road Runner provides a variety of video content from several marquee content companies and programmers including CNN, HBO, Music Choice, and Showtime. ThePlatform has agreed to collect and publish video content and associated advertising for the popular Web site.
 
ThePlatform will also provide Time Warner Cable with media player tools for producing innovative video channels and playback experiences for consumers.

"As online video continues to grow in popularity on Road Runner, we need an efficient and proven way to continue meeting the growing demand.
