By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

Mexico’s cable television provider, Cablemas, has begun deployments of Ambit's Data and EMTA cable modem products. Cablemas has consistently introduced innovative products in Mexico and it claims to be the first cable operator in the country to provide a triple-play bundled service package of cable television, high-speed Internet and IP telephony.

Cablemas with the help of Ambit's range of cable modem solutions would be able to offer services that satisfy subscribers' demands.

These products include Ambit's Wireless EMTA, 2-Line EMTA, Wireless Gateway (News - Alert), and DOCSIS 2.0 Data Modem.

This achievement underscores Ambit's position as one of the leading providers of converged solutions to cable operators worldwide and its key role in supporting Cablemas' expansion plans in Mexico.

"We are honored to have been awarded this opportunity to support Cablemas," said Max Cangelosi, Ambit VP of marketing. "We're especially excited that our relationship extends across multiple products."

"With our extensive network and customer base, Cablemas is well positioned to drive the adoption of IP Telephony, wireless, and other bundles," said Victor Bravo, Cablemas VP supplies and resources.
