By Arvind Arora, TMCnet Contributor

Integra5 (News - Alert), a company engaged in development of communications solutions to enable integration of multiple consumer devices, announced that its i5 Converged Services Platform (i5 CSP (News - Alert))is being deployed by Videotron to provide caller ID.

This is part of Videotron’s initiative grow revenue generating units and improve the quality of its bundled services.

Videotron is an integrated communications provider, offering cable TV, broadband data, telephony and wireless services to more than 2.5 million homes in the Province of Quebec, Canada. This month the company plans to start offering a new service called illico Caller ID, based on Integra5’s technology.

Michel Allard, vice president of technology development at Videotron, said that more than 50 percent of the company's customers subscribe to two or more of its services, so offering new ways to blend those services into new experiences across devices highlights Videotron's focus on convergence and leadership in service innovation.

Allard noted that Integra5's platform provides a fast and effective way to roll-out converged services that do not require any new hardware or a visit to subscribers' homes and yet still empower subscribers to manage, customize and control illico Caller ID to optimize their communications and entertainment experience with Videotron.
