Cablecom Picks Mixed Signals' Sentry Digital Content Monitoring

Cablecom, a cable network operator in Switzerland, selected Sentry digital content monitoring solution provided by Mixed Signal.
 
Designed with convenience in mind, Mixed Signals confirms that digital content monitoring solutions provide flexibility and enable operators to implement any combination of monitoring components for any digital application. By providing a comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and historical reporting solution, Sentry significantly improves operations and assures digital services are working properly throughout the entire network.
 
Mixed Signals is a provider of digital content monitoring, including digital services, transport streams, ad insertion, switched digital video and interactive content.

Cablecom is planning to deploy Sentry in Zurich to ensure its programming meets the standard and high definition and expects to deliver best possible picture and sound quality to its customers. This is accomplished by closely monitoring each program at the MPEG, IP and quality levels, enabling issues to be resolved before subscribers are affected.

Cablecom is a cable network operator in Switzerland and provides its customers with services for cable television, broadband Internet access, and mobile and fixed network telephony. As of June 30, the company had over 1.5 million television customers, of which 321,000 made use of the digital service, 480,000 were Internet customers (high speed) and 309,000 were telephony customers (digital phone).
 
Cablecom also provides voice, data and value-added services for business customers.
The company’s claims to own network connects around 1.9 million households and supplies all the larger towns in Switzerland. The company has 1,500 employees and its turnover was more than 1 billion Swiss francs.
