Entrada Group Helps Two New Businesses Set Up Shop in Mexico

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Entrada Group, a shelter operator based in Mexico, announced it has entered into a strategic contract with two companies – Cable Manufacturing & Assembly and Axiom North America – to provide integrated outsourcing services to help those companies set up new operations at Entrada Group’s Industrial Park in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico.

Cable Manufacturing & Assembly and Axiom North America plan to set up new operations in Mexico to produce cable products to re-export to the United States and Canada and also to supply to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) located throughout Mexico.

The partnership with Entrada allows the companies to focus their time and resources on running their core business while Entrada takes day-to-day responsibility of all of the local and cross-border business functions that are necessary to operating a plant in Mexico.

Axiom North America chose Entrada Group, Mexico, because the services offered are more cost effective and stable than those available in other countries such as China. Moreover, the operating cost is much less in Mexico.

“The Fresnillo location offered a stable work force and attractive wages, and Entrada's shared service structure keeps our overhead costs low and allows us to focus on making high quality fishing rods,” said Bob Penicka, president, Axiom North America, in a statement. “I am confident that we made the right decision in choosing Fresnillo.”

Tom Huggins, vice president of Cable Manufacturing & Assembly said, “In the industries in which we compete it is critical to get the right cost structure in place to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership for our customers. When evaluating the Fresnillo location and Entrada, we wanted a location that met our cost needs but more important, a partner that understands the current international manufacturing environment and is investing for the future.”

Through strategic investments and partnership with forward thinking companies like Entrada Group and Axiom North America, CMA would be able to excel in the market, Huggins added.

Entrada Group serves companies that wish to set up operations outside the U.S. by providing effective start-up and operation solution in Mexico. Entrada offers integrated solutions which include significant cost reduction and control, effective risk management, and client-controlled production.

These alliances result in dramatic savings, both in management's time and resources, according to Entrada Group.
