Proxilliant, Rotal.com in Pact for CAMS Deployment at HOT Telecom

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Proxilliant Systems, a provider of service management solutions to cable operators, and Rotal.com, a subsidiary of C. Mer, have reportedly entered into a strategic partnership by which Rotal will distribute and support the deployment of Proxilliant's Cable Access Management System (CAMS) at HOT Telecommunication Systems, the only triple play provider in Israel.

Founded in 1983, Rotal offers a complete solution to cable television and IPTV (News - Alert) industries including FTTx, xDSL and CATV.

Proxilliant’s CAMS is a hardware and software solution for cable-based service management. It provides comprehensive and continuous information about network and service health and enables cable operators to isolate fault and performance issues and obtain a comprehensive view of health across RF, IP and QoE, officials said.
Through CAMS, intelligence deployed deep into the access network works in concert with sophisticated software in the regional head-end or central data center, officials said. This intelligent management of the Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) network is combined with Proxilliant's Dynamic Ingress Blocking technology, which the company claims as the only managed ingress suppression technology available today.
With these, CAMS helps cable operators pinpoint the issues quickly and reduce the field and network troubleshooting time and costs. It also eliminates the propagation of quality-eroding ingress.
“We are excited about our distribution relationship with Proxilliant and the opportunities for our customers in the cable industry,” said Ofer Kachan, broadband account manager at Rotal.com. “With CAMS, cable operators can now instantly detect and easily locate any issue while continuously suppressing ingress close to its source.”
“Our partnership with Rotal, which is recognized for its complete solutions for cable operators, will help to extend Proxilliant's presence in the global marketplace,” said Sonia Khademi, CEO of Proxilliant. “We are pleased to be working with Rotal to deliver on CAMS' promise of proactive service health management - unprecedented levels of service reliability, operational efficiency, and overall profitability.”
