Tech Data Corporation’s Digital Signage and Projectors Specialized Business Unit (SBU) has signed distribution agreements with HANNspree North America Inc., Hitachi (News - Alert) Home Electronics Inc., and Vivitek Corp.

 

IT reseller customers of Tech Data will now have access to all HANNspree HD-TVs and all Hitachi and Vivitek projectors. The SBU also offers Panasonic (News - Alert) commercial displays, digital signage bundles and installation support services through TDOnCall.

Through our Digital Signage and Projectors SBU, Tech Data (News - Alert) is ensuring our customers have access to the products, support and services they need to build a successful digital signage practice,” said Wendy Linsky, Tech Data vice president of Peripherals Product Marketing.

 

 “Additionally, we expanded our presentation solutions with new displays, projectors and HD-TVs. We will assist resellers fulfilling the demand for these products, especially in key vertical markets like healthcare and education, where IT spending is projected to increase due to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.”

 

The Digital Signage solution includes all components like a broad array of commercial LCD and plasma displays; content management software; digital media players and PCs; video distribution switches and signal converters; cabling, mounts and other hardware; and complete “digital signage in a box” bundles, allowing quick deployment.

 

Tech Data customers can cater to the rising demands for HD displays and TVs in both the public and private sectors as the Digital Signage and Projectors SBU supports several types of professional displays and HD-TVs, said Tech Data.

 

Flat-panel displays and TVs are used for purposes of education and entertainment. Restaurants, clinics, hotels and government buildings also require these devices. HANNspree is a new TV offering from Tech Data and Panasonic commercial displays are the latest in the company’s display solutions.

 

The company said that it offers many DLP, LCD and LED projectors to resellers who can select the most suitable product according to customer needs. Projectors can be compact, mobile and short-throw units for smaller presentations or they can be high-end, high-powered devices suitable for large auditoriums, corporate boardrooms and similar environments.

 

Tech Data’s projectors offering includes Hitachi and Vivitek devices along with mounts, screens, controls, remotes, cabling, lenses and other accessories.

 

Specialized Business Units (SBUs) of Tech Data focuses on the requirements of resellers who serve markets for Apple (News - Alert) products, digital signage, document imaging, security, printing solutions, telephony and wireless networking.
