Florida Cable Chooses XCast Platform

By Jai C.S., TMCnet Contributor

Florida Cable, Inc., a provider of entertainment services to the residents of Florida, has reportedly chosen XCast Labs , a provider of SaaS digital voice and video solutions, to utilize its proprietary platform.
“We chose XCast (News - Alert) because they adapted to fit our needs rather than simply providing the product and forcing us to change our procedures and operations. Most importantly, XCast delivered on every promise they made within the timeframes provided,” said Jim Pierce, director of Technical Services at Florida Cable.

Currently reaching nearly 40,000 homes with its Hybrid-Fiber Coaxial system, Florida Cable said it has maintained a competitive edge over other providers thanks to its quality of customer service.

Florida Cable is said to be serving several of Lake County’s most prestigious private, residential golf communities including Royal Harbor, Legacy of Leesburg, Highland Lakes, Black Bear Reserve, Twin Lakes, and Arlington Ridge.

“We’re confident that XCast will help us maintain, if not grow, our advantage,” said Pierce.

XCast Labs is an advanced SaaS (News - Alert) (Software as a Service) provider that has developed a comprehensive suite of software and hardware solutions to help cable operators, CLECs, RLECs, ISPs, telecom resellers and marketing companies to offer integrated IP-based services to their end-users.

The company’s Digital Voice and Video (DV&V) platform is a fully hosted, IP-based integrated solution that delivers Class 5 switching with MIR (Most Intelligent Routing), Video Telephony, IP-PBX (News - Alert), SIP Trunking and other advanced IP applications including video conferencing.
