ANDA Announces Availability of New Ethernet Access and Real Time Monitoring Solutions

By Jai C.S., TMCnet Contributor

ANDA Networks, a company specializing in carrier-class fiber and copper-based access platforms, has announced availability of its carrier-class portfolio of Ethernet access and real time monitoring solutions. These solutions are capable of enabling cable operators to reduce their overall management OPEX (News - Alert) and equipment CAPEX.

“ANDA’s full suite of Ethernet access and aggregation equipment coupled with the integrated test and performance measurement software enables cable operators to meet and exceed the resiliency and reliability that they demand from their copper, fiber or wireless network connections,” noted Greg Gum, chief marketing officer of ANDA Networks (News - Alert), in a release.

With the company’s EtherReach network termination equipment and EtherEdge aggregation solutions, cable operators can generate new revenue opportunities by delivering Ethernet private lines, transparent LAN services, managed VPN’s, and bundled voice, video and data transport services. Moreover, when integrated with EtherProbe real-time monitoring solution, ANDA’s equipment platforms is said to allow MSOs to non-intrusively remotely monitor and measure carrier Ethernet traffic in real time without additional test equipment or operator intervention.

Reportedly, ANDA’s EtherProbe is the first stand-alone Ethernet traffic monitoring and service level agreement (SLA) verification solution, which eliminates the need for placing expensive external performance monitoring data collection tools on either end of the transmission link. Additionally, ANDA’s MEF (News - Alert) certified EtherEdge 4000 series modular Ethernet aggregation solution enables cost-effective delivery of Ethernet services over copper, fiber and wireless backhaul facilities.

The EtherEdge, which can be stationed anywhere in a multi-tenant building, POP or central office, can manage traffic flows and optimize network utilization at both the ingress and egress of the base stations or POP’s in real time.

ANDA’s EtherReach 1000 and 2000 series are the single user versions of its EtherEdge 4000 series, designed to be located at the customer premises.

“With ANDA’s Ethernet portfolio, cable operators significantly improve their bottom line by rapidly expanding into higher profit business services backed by strong SLAs, real time continuous protection, and QoS guarantees. Our products significantly reduce management OPEX and CAPEX via eliminating truck rolls, additional test sets, network probes, or monitoring personnel to deliver stringent real-time business class SLA’s over an MSO’s own network or leased off-net facilities,” Gum added.
