Brightpoint Enters into Agreement with Time Warner Cable

Brightpoint (News - Alert) North America LP, a subsidiary of Brightpoint, Inc., reportedly has entered into an agreement with Time Warner (News - Alert) Cable Inc. to provide a suite of integrated supply chain solutions that include transportation management, inventory management, device customization, fulfillment and reverse logistics.
 
As part of this pact, Brightpoint will provide Time Warner Cable with suite of services to support their launch of Road Runner Mobile, including wireless data card, accessory and collateral fulfillment and returns, triage and repairs.
 
“As we launch Road Runner Mobile, Time Warner Cable’s mobile broadband product, Brightpoint will play an integral role by providing a streamlined supply chain solution,” said Mike Roudi, vice president of wireless services, Time Warner Cable’s Group, in a statement.
 
J. Mark Howell, president of Brightpoint Americas, said that Brightpoint is excited to start this new relationship with Time Warner Cable.
 
“We look forward to serving Time Warner Cable with a suite of services that are aligned to their needs and contribute to a successful customer experience,” Howell said.
 
Brightpoint, Inc. (News - Alert) is a player in the distribution of wireless devices and in providing customized logistic services to the wireless industry.
 
In 2008, Brightpoint handled approximately 84 million wireless devices globally. Brightpoint’s services include distribution, channel development, fulfillment, product customization, e-Business solutions, and other outsourced services that integrate seamlessly with its customers.
 
Brightpoint officials said that its effective and efficient platform allows customers to benefit from quickly deployed, flexible and cost-effective solutions.
 
Earlier this month Brightpoint announced that its subsidiary, Brightpoint Australia Pty Ltd., entered into a distribution agreement with BlueAnt Wireless (News - Alert).
 
Pursuant to this agreement, Brightpoint will distribute BlueAnt Wireless headsets and hands-free devices in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
 
TMCnet this month had reported that Brightpoint has entered into a distribution and support agreement with RadioShack Corporation to provide distribution and logistics support for certain wireless products.
 
Brightpoint will also continue to distribute wireless products to select RadioShack dealer stores across the country.
