Interlink-US-Net Creates Advanced FRED Unit for Highest Quality Videoconferencing

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

Interlink-US-Net, a Los Angeles based communications technology company, has designed a more advanced FRED unit that will deliver the highest quality videoconferencing with a host of related services. The new solution is also affordably priced to suit users from both business market and consumer market.

Interlink’s FRED features HD quality video, Video-On-Demand, DVR, 2Way Videophone, Satellite Services, Internet Access and VoIP and can be controlled with a simpler remote control.

The FRED unit enables real time 2Way video calls, thousands of satellite and cable channels, video on demand, DVR functionality, and live over the air digital HD TV. It performs tasks generally done by several pieces of professional equipment costing tens of thousands of dollars and brings advanced capabilities into the average home or office expensively.

Cisco (News - Alert) has acknowledged that FRED fills the requirement for the means to offer efficient and meaningful collaboration among colleagues, customers, partners, and suppliers inexpensively in today’s intricately networked and globalized economy. The new and advanced FRED unit delivers 2WayTV, 30 frames per second, high definition video in real time over standard Internet broadband connections.

The solution’s performance is supported by a proprietary network server farm that monitors quality and utilizes a proprietary billing platform for monthly services fees and special services such as conference calling and private video channels.

Interlink currently operates video on demand servers supported by a billing platform that is capable of providing a wide variety of premium video events, including satellite and cable programming. The FRED may also be used to bundle broadcast video entertainment services with video conferencing, broadening the marketplace and converging all video and data delivery in a single unit.

Interlink has also announced the new ‘House MAX’ product line, the big brother to the company’s handheld MAX unit. Max is a compact portable antenna designed to boost signal quality on any cell phone or PDA by up to 300% and enables calls to-and-from places where cellular communications networks are weak or difficult to access and provides clearer and enhanced voice and data reception.

The House MAX will receive and transmit cell phone signals in concert with the MAX units in an apartment or home. Like the MAX, it requires no batteries, wires, set up or connections and will enable Interlink to up-sell its MAX customers.

Recently Interlink-US-Net announced initial orders for MAX and entered the cell phone accessory market with the introduction of the MAX.
