Black Broadcasting Network Launches on Verizon FiOS

Black Broadcasting Network (BBN), America's 24-hour, cable channel has announced the availability of its programs on Verizon (News - Alert) FiOS TV Video on Demand (VOD).

The Black Broadcasting Network (BBN) is an African American owned and operated cable network owned by Attorney Ricky Anderson and Yusef Muhammad.

Currently Black Broadcasting Network is broadcasting exclusive programs catering to the requirements of the underserved black viewers. Some of the prominent programs televised by BBN include black college sports, important basketball league matches, ringside boxing, entertainment films and special collection of original productions.

According to a press release, BBN uses multiple platforms including linear, VOD, broadband and mobile to deliver content to its audiences.

BBN’s affiliation with Verizon FiOS (News - Alert) TV will ensure the availability of BBN’s programs all over the US. The 24/7 network coverage is aimed at the 18-34 age group living in metropolitan cities. The coverage will include exclusive entertainment programs with participation of African American and Latino artists, humorists, casts, film makers, producers and sports personalities.

'We are excited about our affiliation with Verizon FiOS TV,' said Attorney Ricky Anderson, Black Broadcasting Network's Chairman/CEO, in the release. 'This day established our existence in Broadcast Cable.”

The variety of programs offered by BBN for this coverage include new movies, music, music videos, films made by individuals, sports programs held in various black colleges, reality shows, funny side and information on current affairs.
 
Yusef Muhammad, President/COO of Black Broadcasting Network said 'Black Broadcasting Network is the dominant source of programming for Black Audiences and the newest addition in Black Television.
