Veraz Networks and LS Cable to Deliver Quad Play Service Solutions

Veraz Networks (News - Alert), Inc., a provider of Multimedia Generation Network application, control, and bandwidth optimization products, has entered into partnership with LS Cable (News - Alert) of Korea to develop Quadruple Play Service, or “QPS,” solutions for service providers in emerging markets.
As part of the agreement, LS Cable will deploy Veraz’s ControlSwitch VoIP switching platform to deliver improved interconnection, enhanced security and reduced OPEX (News - Alert).
Veraz officials said that the company will also license its ControlSwitch Class 5, or “C5,” software to enhance LS Cable’s QPS system to support full session control with an integrated C5, IMS base core.
“LS Cable was looking for a partner to match our QPS access solutions and we believe that Veraz is the perfect match,” said Dong Young Kim, a senior official at LS Cable, in a statement.
Veraz’s strength in VoIP switching as well as its expertise within the emerging markets complements LS Cable’s strategy and direction, Kim added.
“We are extremely pleased to match the strengths of our ControlSwitch with LS Cable’s QPS solution,” said Dawn Hogh, vice president, marketing for Veraz Networks.
Hogh LS Cable has an industry leading QPS solution and the company believes the partnership will strongly benefit both companies as well as the customers.
Back in December Veraz Networks and Elkotek, a value-added reseller in Turkey, had announced that Borusan Telekom, one of Turkey’s providers of telecom services, has selected Veraz’s I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP Gateway (News - Alert) to support Borusan Telekom’s enterprise VoIP services.
After a thorough selection process that evaluated leading SIP gateway vendors’ products, Borusan Telekom (News - Alert) chose Veraz’s I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP Gateway for its comprehensive features and flexible, software-only upgrade.
To provide Borusan Telekom strong local service and support, Veraz has partnered with Elkotek, a top telecom VAR in Turkey.
