By Jayashree Adkoli, TMCnet Contributor

Symon Communications, a provider of in-venue visual communications solutions, announced that it has signed an agreement with Exton, Pennsylvania-based SuiteLinq, Inc., in order to combine both the companies’ services.

According to a press release, both the companies will be joining forces to create digital environments with multiple guest touch points in hotels and similar environments, which are capable of delivering a wide-range of content and interactive services.

Symon Communications offers clients with fully integrated visual communications solutions, which are capable of managing the collection, synthesis, design and distribution of digital content to numerous electronic display end-points. These visual communications solutions include digital signage, video walls, way finding, door-displays, LED wallboards and more.

Under the terms of the agreement, Symon Communications will be interfacing its solutions with SuiteLinq’s on-site hospitality platforms. These hospitality platforms encompass in-room desktop computers, IPTV (News - Alert) services, laptop access portals, and mobile devices.

SuiteLinq’s core service offering is called as ‘eRoomsuite’, which encompasses components such as: SuiteLinq, SuiteCast, and SuiteVOD.

The SuiteLinq is a customized portal that runs on an in-room computer with high-speed Internet and offers a variety of interactive guest services, free content, and pay-per-access features and entertainment. The SuiteCast provides free-to-guest broadcast and cable TV channels. The SuiteVOD provides a variety of pay-per-view Video-On-Demand content. All these service can be installed either individually or as a package.

Joseph Mustilli, CEO of SuiteLinq, said, “The ability to deploy a truly integrated digital content delivery system via multiple platforms in hotels is an industry first. From the moment the guest walks into the door, to the comfort of their room, to the restaurant and lounge areas, Symon and SuiteLinq can deliver on-site commerce and relevant content that enhances the guest experience while also driving additional revenue for the property.”

Symon Communications’ InView Mobile smartphone application was named recipient of the 2009 Product of the Year Award by Technology Marketing Corporation’s (TMC) Internet Telephony (News - Alert) magazine. Created to augment and extend content that is delivered to digital signage, the InView Mobile product is a line of media players that run on the new breed of smartphones that are capable of receiving and delivering location-based, interactive, multi-media digital content.
