By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor

Cogeco Cable recently launched a new Business High Speed Internet (HSI) package, the Business Ultimate 50, in the Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton areas of Ontario. The existing subscribers of Cogeco who were using the Business HSI Enterprise service will now be upgraded to the Ultimate 50 package without any additional expense. New customers who look forward to boost their business from very fast web internet connectivity also can avail this facility.

Business Ultimate 50 is backed by DOCSIS 3.0 technology. The subscribers can enjoy the benefits of very good speed and performance without any limitations on data transfer. It replaces Enterprise package while retaining all its important features such as an unlimited bitcap. It also has a very fast download speed of up to 50 Mbps, and an upload speed of up to 2 Mbps.

Ron Perrotta who is the Vice-President of Marketing and Strategic Planning at Cogeco Cable said, 'Made for your business...We can say this because we understand the unique nature of small business and create services that meet their needs. We offer faster speeds, flexible terms, reliable connections, 24/7 local support and generous data transfer allowances. We are continually looking to introduce new products and service enhancements that are made for our customers, giving them genuine business benefits. This is why our new Business Ultimate 50 truly stands out in the market.'

DOCSIS 3.0 is a technology in which data is compressed. This will permit a more effective and cheap bandwidth usage. This topmost technology enables Cogeco Cable to meet the demand on increasing bandwidth of recent small businesses at a cheaper rate when compared to their competitors.

The price of Cogeco's Business Ultimate 50 package is $189.95 per month when the commitment is for three-years, $199.95 per month when the commitment is for two-years and $209.95 when there is no commitment. The price includes modem rental, security services, unlimited data transfer, 20 email addresses, and a 100MB capacity per email addresses.

Cogeco Cable ranks the second largest cable operator in Ontario, Quebec and Portugal, when considering the number of Basic Cable service they serve. It has two-way broadband cable networks and provides its residential customers with audio, analogue and digital television besides HSI and telephony services.
